Lance Rhoads is co-owner of Roads & O’Hara Architectural Products, a forest products distributor specializing in hardwood plywood and veneers.

Before opening Rhoads & O’Hara in 2006, Lance was a sales rep for the Bay Ridge Companies responsible for panel sales in Eastern PA, Delaware and Maryland. He began his carrier in 1985 selling hardwood lumber for the Mann & Parker Lumber Company. Lance is graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned a bachelor of the Science degree in Forest Products Utilization. His wife Maria of 35 years is also a graduate of Virginia Tech and they have 3 children and one grandchild.

Lance will talk about veneer cuts and project specs and how they apply to your projects. Manufacturing of veneers and Plywood.

• What to look for with regard to veneers when bidding a project and how to specify veneer panels.
• Understanding and interpreting veneer and core specifications.
• Working through the veneer nuances, navigating what will be accepted versus what might be implied, and subsequently ordering the right material.
